A good company of Hawick Rotarians, partners and friends attended the annual Christmas party night at Mansfield House Hotel. After their most enjoyable meal, the group was entertained by singers Geoff Ross and Joyce Tinlin, accompanied by Rosalyn Walker, with seasonal recitations by Pat Sutherland, and a Christmas Quiz created by Mairhi Trickett. The quiz was difficult (well, would you know which country exports the most Christmas trees?) but of course the enjoyment is in the argument and indecision! A well deserved Vote of Thanks was given by President Linden Warburton to all who performed and to Jim Walker who organised the evening.
Rotary does not meet for two weeks over the festive period, and the next get-together will be at Langholm on January 9th when Hawick members first-foot their friends in the Muckle Toon.
