Presentation Evening November 2019

Presentation of the proceeds of our Golf Day to local charities and good causes

Our meeting on Thursday 14th November was a very full house with guests from the various charities and good causes which were to receive cheques from the proceeds of the annual Golf Day. In addition a few of the event sponsors came along to further support the event and in addition we were pleased to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of Bewdley.

£5,500 was distributed to local charities and deserving causes.

Beneficiaries were Bewdley Stroke Group - Bewdley and District Guides - Bewdley Scouts - Bewdley Pastors - Bewdley School Wildlife Savers - All Saints Church - Rotary Dictionaries for local Primary Schools - Pound Green and Button Oak Community Hall - Salvation Army Kidderminster - St Basils Kidderminster - Barnado’s 1032 Wyre Forest Support Group - Wyre Forest Nightstop - Wyre Forest Women’s Refuge - Wyre Forest Prostate Cancer Support Group - Wyre Forest Community Transport - Wyre Forest LAFS - Worcestershire Young Carers

With each group having a Club member appointed to host them it was a good opportunity to meet, and get to know better, people from organisations which we support. It was also encouraging to see representatives networking with other organisations, hopefully to their mutual benefit.

Thanks were given to all who made the day such a success and in particular to the generosity of the Bewdley Pines Golf Club and to their professional who organise everything to do with the competition.

Bob Hill not only was in charge of the organisation of the Golf day but also organised the presentation evening. President Michel gave thanks to both Bob and Annie for their hard work and commitment resulting in a very successful event which benefitted so many local organisations.

As always our good friend Colin Hill was on hand to take photos - Thank You Colin
