The Rotary Club of Dunmow organised a St Andrews evening on Saturday 30th November to raise funds for Bambers Green Riding for the Disabled, who are based at Maple Pollards Riding Centre, Little Hallingbury. RSA are committed to providing life-changing experiences for disabled children and adults locally and across the UK. They are part of a network of centres and volunteers providing opportunities every day of the week.
Two regular volunteer assistants, Brenda Harter and Lucy Myers, from Great Dunmow joined the evening for a typical Scottish meal including haggis and neeps followed by crachan (a sweet made with cream, oats, whisky, honey and raspberries).
The event held at the Day Centre included musical entertainment provided by Somethin’ Else from Baldock, before President Willie Fraser presented a cheque for £600 to Lucy and Brenda.
