Well done to the Band Hatton Button team for organising a magnificent event, which raised a significant sum for ILEAP. Our thanks go to the team at Band Hatton Button for organising this fantastic event which raised 1,600 for iLeap. This event, hosted at the Holiday Inn in Kenilworth, was attended by 140 people including Rotarians and several clients of Band Hatton Button.
Everyone enjoyed themselves, being challenged by eight rounds of questions. One round was novel and innovative - playing the background music to TV adverts and asking us to name the product or brand that is being advertised!! Not suited to those who pop out of the room to make a drink when the adverts come on!
Sarah Avern worked did a fantastic job as quiz master, ably assisted by youngsters from Kenilworth School Interact who were kept busy collecting quiz papers and logging results.
Receiving the cheque on behalf of iLeap, Peter Bazeley said:
“ Members from ILEAP, a local Charity helping those with Additional Needs to have a fun and fulfilled social life, are absolutely delighted to receive a cheque for 1,600. This is a fantastic donation and will make a huge difference. We hope to use the money to develop our new social enterprise called Market Ability. Market Ability is the Charities attempt at sustaining our wider work by adding a new service for our members. The new sessions will run from The Kenilworth Centre during the day and will provide participants with new skills and purposeful activity aimed at building confidence, raising self esteem and leading to Volunteering opportunities at local Market events. ILEAP Members will be able to Volunteer on the market stall and gain all the skills from running their own business, whilst raising money for the charity and raising awareness of its work"
