Interact Shoebox Campaign

Interact Shoebox Campaign

The Interact Club of Sir William Robertson Academy has been busy promoting the Rotary Shoebox Appeal in school (https://www.rotaryshoebox.org/). In particular, the President, Elise and Vice President, Hannah, have been targeting the campaign at younger students in Years 7 & 8. They talked about the scheme in assembly’s and sent letters home to parents. 25 shoeboxes were ordered from Rotary GBI and on Thursday 28th November the first of the shoeboxes were presented to the students. Students have paid £2 for a box and have until December 10th to fill the box with content that will go to a family in Eastern Europe.

In addition to the shoeboxes, the students were presented with an Interact Badge. Each student participating in the scheme automatically becomes a member of The Interact Club. Rotary Club of Grantham President, Glenys, was present to pass on thanks and a few wise words!
