Strive Cafe!

Nat and Sally Wickens from the Strive Cafe, Bexhill came to tell us about their innovative and exciting project.  Nat is a past pupil of St MAry’s School, Wrestwood Road who, despite his dyspraxia, has taken courses in catering. Together with another ex St Mary’s family they have obtained and furnished a business in Bexhiil town centre where they serve breakfasts, morning coffee and light lunches. After little more than a month, the business is already thriving and they have plans to take on more staff and provide more seating; there are at present 18 covers.

The enterprize is in the process of registering as a charity. The Club was interested and ethusiastic about this project and hopes were expressed that we would be able to support it individually and as a club as it progresses.
