Public collections

On occasions when there are natural or human disasters Rotarians often hold collections to be able to send funds to help the victims of the disasters.

Australian Bush Fires

On Saturday 11 January a collection was held in King’s Lynn by the town’s three Rotary Clubs for the victims of the Australian bush fires.   Members of the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn and the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn Priory collected in the town centre and members of the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn Trinity collected at Asda in South Wootton.  In total the public generously donated nearly £2400 which will be sent to support the rescue work in Australia.  The collection was organised by Bill Irwin of the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn.
