4th Bolton Rotary Technology Tournament 2020

Schools involved were:-
Bolton School Boy's Div, Cannon Slade School, Westhoughton High School, Rivington & Blackrod High School

On Wednesday 12th February our 4th Annual Technology Tournament took place in Bolton Boy’s School Grand Hall. Fourteen teams of four Year 9 pupils, from four schools took part having to develop a flashing beacon on which a billboard had to be mounted advertising a Rotary Project. Once started the beacon had to flash a specified number of times automatically. All the young people really got involved and were a great advert for their schools, and a pleasure to work with.
DG Patrick presented the winning team from Canon Slade School with a medal each, and winning school the 'Spirit of Technology' Cup, also Canon Slade School.

We were most grateful to Bolton School for hosting the event, and it was sponsored by all the Rotary clubs in the Bolton cluster with members from a number of clubs assisting on the day.

Technology Tournaments are a project of Rotary GB&I
