The three Barrow clubs get together to help a local community centre.

Members of the three Rotary clubs in Barrow met up recently to have a look at the difference their joint donation has made to the Abbots Vale Community Centre.
The clubs raised £750 between them and this was matched by a grant from governing body Rotary International. The money was used to fund new exterior lighting and pay for tree surgery work.

Centre Manager Karen Lancaster praised the Rotary clubs for their generous contribution and the difference it had made to them "This popular Centre is even more attractive, and we are finding that we are busier than ever."
The Centre is home to a variety of childrens' groups and is also available for meetings, and their crown green bowling green is also a popular attraction.
