Fifty saplings acquired for the Club were planted as a contgribution to National Tree Week
As a contribution to National Tree Planting week at the end of November last, North Down Rotary Club acquired 50 young birch and rowan trees courtesy of Rotarian John Perry. Members bought a large number of the trees with the funds going to Rotary charities and took them at home to plant in their gardens. The remaining trees were then planted at Helen’s Bay Golf Club with the permission of the Captain and Council of the Club. All of the trees have now been planted and it is hoped that in the spring they will begin to develop.
