Visit and presentation of cheque to Great Western Air Ambulance
On the evening of 22 January 2020 members of the Fishponds and Downend Rotary Club and their partners were given a very informative presentation about the work the undertaken by the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity www.greatwesternairambulance.com by Joe Hughes (Community Co-ordinator) and 2 members of the critical care team.
The Talk was followed by a tour of the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity new airbase at Almondsbury Bristol, during which the Fishponds and Downend Rotary Club were pleased to give a cheque in the sum of £1,000 raised from various fund-raising events last year.
The photograph shows Joe Hughes receiving a presentation cheque from Co-Presidents of the Rotary Club Dave Baker and Phil Simon.
The Great Western Air Ambulance Charity is more like a flying Emergency Department, and can only continue through the generosity of the community it serves. If your organisation or company would like to find out more about GWAAC’s impact, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org who will arrange for a representative to talk to your group.
