Head shave for shelter box

Rotarian Stephen Coiley has his hair and beard shaved to raise funds for Shelter Box

Manningtree Rotary's very own Father Christmas Stephen Coiley who grows his hair and beard every year to bring Christmas cheer to the families of Manningtree, Mistley, Laword and Ardleigh has bravely had every hair on his head shaved off to raise funds for shelter box.

On Saturday 25th January a large crowd gathered at the newly opened gym Fitness@summers park to cheer on Stephen as local mobile barber Tom Fadar slowly removed his hair. Starting with his hair and then moving on to his beard and finally removing both of his eyebrows Stephen raised an incredible £1400. Stephens wife Jane presented him with a Tam O Shanta to keep his head warm on the way home.

Stephens 'Nut Lob' as he calls it will ensure that families in disaster zones will have a roof over their heads thanks to the work Shelter Box do in providing these vital survival boxs. To find out more about Shelter Box Visit www.shelterbox.org
