Postman Pat helps the homeless

Postage saved at Christmas time by members goes to Night Shelter

For some years now,our members no longer send Christmas Cards to fellow members through the post. Instead they are collected together and distributed in bulk at our Christmas party and the money saved is donated to a worthy cause chosen by the organisers. This year that cause was King's Lynn Night Shelter which is an organisation set up by Churches Together to provide overnight accommodation and a meal for the homeless during the winter months. As you would expect this is well used and while most food is donated they do need funds to buy meat and cover running costs "Postman Pat" named after a member's wife who used to organise the scheme, this year raised £130 which will help Night Shelter to help others less fortunate
