Youth Speaks Competition 2020

Every year we organise a public speaking competition for pupils at local schools.

This year the schools involved were :

All Saints Primary School               “Why should we protect animals?”

Broadstone Hall Primary School    “What is better, the wheel or the ball?”

Green End Primary School             “Is it OK to not be OK?”

St Joseph’s Primary School           “Global Warming”

Tithe Barn Primary School              “Pick your aisle, no matter what your style”

Westmorland Primary School          “Endangered Animals”

As always the pupils were coached by our very own public speaking guru  Nan Ironside who was assisted by several club menbers . President Bill Caldwell and other club members also attended the event which featured some very accomplished teams of speakers.

This years winning team was from Green End Primary School
