Building for the Future - Julie Lyons

Children with disabilities

On Tuesday 25th February 2020, President Philip Jackson welcomed to the Coventry North Rotary Club, Norman Paget’s daughter, Julie Lyons, to tell us about the charity, Building for the Future of Disabled Kids, for which she is the General Manager. The lunch was supported by the Club Ladies.  The charity is based in Wokingham and is parent led, providing activities, support and therapy for children with disabilities and/or additional needs and their families. They rely on donations and receive no local authority or Government support. The illustrated talk was followed by many questions. Past President Michael White gave the vote of thanks and President Philip presented the speaker with a cheque for the charity, wishing them well for the future. Rotarian Brian Sharp took the photographs.
