Lunch time meeting - Club meeting run by Geoff Sampson and Brian Johnson

On Thursday 12th March 2020 President Ewen Macdonald welcomed 16 Club Rotarians to our lunch time meeting, which was held at the Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes. 

On reception, this week was Peter May and Chris Harris.

Our speakers this week were incoming President Geoff Sampson and Senior Vice President Brian Johnson who ran an open forum on their proposed plans for the next presidential year commencing July outlining their thoughts and asking for feedback from the members.

The coronavirus Covid19 was mentioned in respect of many of the events which we and Rotary are looking to organise over the forthcoming months with so many organisations now cancelling events, we will be looking at this very closely over the next few days in respect of all our activities.

Forthcoming events

Friday April 3rd Sportsman’s Dinner – Gilvenbank Hotel 7 for 7:30pm £30 per person– our main fundraiser of the year our speakers being Ex referee Stuart Dougal, Comedian Connor Burns and Compere Willie Allan MBE.

Wednesday 10th June 2020 Kids Out day at the Deer Park by Cupar.

This coming week’s meeting on Thursday 19th March 2020 will be a lunch time meeting to be held at the Gilvenbank Hotel Glenrothes meeting at 12.45pm for a 12.55pm start. Our speaker this week will be Gwen McQueen of Heavenly Goodies speaking about her chocolate business
