~ The Nailsea COV-19 Help Group metamorphosised into Nailsea Community Group which forms part of the new Nailsea Support Group which also includes Tyntesfield Medical Group, Nailsea Town Council and the hub at 65 High Street Nailsea. We are delighted to have been able to provide some financial assistance and we are continuing to work closely with them to the benefit of our local community.
~ Following zoom meetings we are pleased to have made donations to Mercy Ships, Guide Dogs, Avon Wildlife Trust and others. We have also supported anti-malaria work in Zambia, the provision of efficient wood burning stoves in South America and aid for Haiti following the recent earthquake.
~ Bookstalls and handbag stall sales have been re-introduced.
~ After an enforced break last year, the Rotary Young Musician competition is back with the heats being held during November. The Grand Final is on Friday, 21 January - details here.
~ A most succesful Young Photographer competition was held at Nailsea School in early December.
~ The Tall Ships experience has restarted and we have hosted several school students recently. This year the students will gain the life changing experience of joining the crew of a Challenger ocean racing yacht for the best part of a week.

The 2024 Charity Golf Day will be held on Thursday 11th July and again this year we will be supporting Prostate Cancer UK. We are looking for teams of 4 golfers to come and enjoy a round on the Brinsea Championship Course at Mendip Spring Golf Club.
more4 Sales of pre-used paperback books and jigsaws in 2023 were in March, June, July and October. A further 4 sales are planned for 2024, dates to be announced. Handbag stalls are now being organised by Nailsea Leg Club.
