During this difficult time we would like to offer our services to anyone who wants or needs them. We have members who are prepared to collect and deliver items for people, transport people or visit people. We will be happy to do what we can to help anyone in the community.
If you need any assistance please call Len on 07795 960320 or message us on our contact page.
Since the start of the lockdown many of our rotarians have been putting their weekly meeting subs towards supporting local food banks. Our club considers that this should be our focus in the short term.
To date we have donated cash to the Hope Centre St Helens (who support the Earlestown Foodbank) and the Bridge at Wigan.
Last Friday (June 19) President Len and Rotarians Viv and Les Clancy went to long to ACT (Ashton Churches) with £100 worth of food. This is in addition to £100 received from Costco which we also donated to ACT.
PLEASE SEE OUR SEPERATE PAGE SPECIFICALLY RELATING TO FOODBANKS
more Please see our Community page for the food poverty projects we are supporting this Christmas.
more The club is helping local food banks through donations from rotarians lunch dues and food which is kindly being donated by Morrison's. This is our July activity.
more We have supported a local agency which provides emergency accommodation to those fleeing domestic violence.
back Due to the current on going advice and in the interests of public health and safety we have now cancelled all our physical meetings and events until further notice. However we are holding weekly zoom meetings and our committees meet monthly.
