In response to requests for help from within the community it was agreed to donate £250 to Stag Laser Craft Covid 19 fundraiser which is helping to provide face visors for Fife hospitals. Three boxes of visors have been ordered for the St Andrews Community Hospital.
Council also agreed to purchase an ipad for a local family who have become separated due to the health circumstances of one of the members of their family. This, we hope, will enable them to keep in touch at least, through electronic means.
A video presentation from Daphne Grant of CASA ( Community Aid St Andrews), detailing the work so far of CASA had also just been circulated within the club today and members will be asked as to how the Club may wish to continue to support this group going forward.
Finally, in the true spirit of Rotary, the club is setting up a system of ensuring that every member receives a phone call from another member over the next week, just to have a catch up and share how they are faring in these unusual times.
