Music in the Park

With Regrets “Music in the Park 2021” has been cancelled.

When we posted our previous update about Music in the Park (MiP) last October, we had high hopes that the pandemic would be virtually over by now.

As we write this in mid-February, we have a little over 20 weeks to this year’s event and we have reached the point where a go/no go decision must be made.

Despite some good news coming from the vaccinations and the drop in the number of Covid cases, much still looks very uncertain. After very careful consideration of all the factors involved, we have had to conclude that Music in the Park 2021 cannot be held safely, and it is with great regret that we have had to cancel the event this year.

In July, when the event would have taken place, the MiP Team who plan the entire event, will meet again to look at when we might be able to hold the next Music in the Park.

Please be assured that MiP will return but that can only happen when it can be done safely.

Please stay with us in spirit and together we will have fun again soon. The past ten events have already raised over £500,000 for Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care, our sole beneficiary, and together, when times are more certain, we will raise more.
