Enjoy What You Do And You Will Never Work A Day In Your Life

Rotarian Bruce Bradley’s deliverance of his life up until today was far from many could have imagined. From a farm boy to a worldly man travelling the globe through work activity, and now maintaining the described interest of passion that continues to surround him today.

Bruce took us from the bush bumpkin background of his childhood living in exquisite New Zealand, in the midst of a large relative surrounded environment, explaining in detail the luxuries of a child to be granted exploring opportunities, quite often without interruption by adults, to seeing the harshness of natural disasters. Yet not reactions of ‘poor me’ came from this, but enthusiasm to be supportive to family, extended family and communities throughout. However, such experiences were informed to have steered him to recognise his wants, to be far greater in daily comfort, which meant accepting a return to the farmland was not an option.

Bruce’s informed love of the sea was unfolded in detail and excellence of his passion able to drive successful growth and business for many and himself, was revealed.

Certainly, the picture taken was that Bruce’s upbringing came with a reward of confidence, courage, inventiveness, determination and a ‘gutso’ attitude that anything is possible if you want to make it happen. As Bruce suggested in his talk, it is all about ‘how to have a good time whilst working’.

Without a doubt the presentation was one that should not have been missed yet offering opportunity for years ahead, to have his Rotarian colleagues sit by Bruce, to explore more of what was said in the lengthy, jam packed, but grand sharing, about what has made him successful and driven to continue, which highlights what he has on offer to bring to the Rotarian table.
