Weekly meeting

Our own Roy Challand was our speaker this evening
We were joined at this evening's Zoom meeting by visiting Rotarians from St Ives (Alan Smith) and St Neots (Gordon Johnson), making our number of attendees 16 in all. Roy entertained us with a talk entitled 'My life in badges', in which he described the various badges that have marked milestones in his life. Pictures of all the badges he acquired were shown on our screens. The first was a Cubs badge followed by school badges and various badges from army cadets to Air Force Cadets, moving through the Air Training Corps among others, ending with Rotary's Paul Harris Award, the one which Roy said gave him most pride.
Roy was warmly thanked for his insightful and humorous talk.

From Jan 2023 we have started a Business of the Month Award, for businesses who have been nominated for outstanding service or assistance.

Besides being rooted in our own local community, our club supports Rotary International in its quest to promote peace and understanding throughout the world.

The Rotary Club of Watton & District (to give it's full title) came in to existence on 8th September 1954.

Foundation is Rotary's own charity. It is the vehicle through which much of Rotary's international good work is carried out.
