Back in April a member of our club suggested we repurpose some of our Shoeboxes as Rainbow Boxes. These would be provided to our local hospital in Kirkcaldy for distribution.  This is our local hospital where patients from our community would be admitted. The boxes contained essential items for patients admitted during the COVID Pandemic that were unable to have family and friends come into visit.

After discussion at club level this evolved into us filling and delivering 100 Rainbow bags for adults and or staff.  This proved to be so successful we then then went onto fill another 45 of bags for children in hospital.

We were delighted to hear that children and parents/carers loved the contents of these bags and that they were engaged in games and activities together.

The bags were handed over with no conditions attached, to be used as they saw the need and we were delighted to receive feedback from the recipient wards.
