Subject: Operation Basalt



There will be a presentation by Chris Oliver about Operation Basalt, a British Commando Raid on Sark in which Simon Wood's late uncle Geoffrey Appleyard took part. Although a small raid the consequences arising from it had tremendous repercussions throughout the later war years.
