Rotary President, David Lancaster, presents a Rotary Community Service Award to Sue Northrop, North Berwick Community Emergency Resilience Plan Coordinator (Left) and Judy Lockhart North Berwick Community Council Chair and Deputy co-ordinator.

The Rotary Club of North Berwick has awarded a Rotary Community Service Award to the North Berwick Community Council's Community Emergency Resilience Group. Lead by Sue Northrop and Judy Lockhart of the Community Council, it has successfully identified individual and group needs, during the COVID pandemic, and through its volunteers, delivered important assistance in our community. David Lancaster, President of the Rotary club, said "without the many initiatives delivered by this Group, a lot of people in our community would have been left in a desperate position as to how they could cope with the lockdown. We wanted to recognise and thank Sue and Judy, for their leadership, the hard work of the organising group and also all of the volunteers. It has been an exceptional and successful effort.
