PRESIDENT'S HANDOVER
COVID STYLE!

Tuesday 30 June 2020 brought an end to the Rotary year 2019-2020.

Normally there would be a handover dinner and presentations but due to the Coronavirus restrictions, it was not possible to hold this year’s event.

However, undeterred, the President for 2019-20, Chris Dighton and the President for 2020-2021, Patricia Painting, organised an "alternative" handover.

They met in Patricia's garden and Chris, after saying a few words, handed the Chain to Patricia. Unfortunately, it rained but that did not stop the 'happy couple' having a glass of champagne to celebrate, cheered on by two Club members who witnessed the ceremony.

Thanks to Chris for his year and best wishes to Patricia for her year. When the club meets together again then some sort of "completed handover" will take place witnessed by all club members.
