Raffle: Ed Kelly,
Reception: Robert Farrelly / Stuart Ridge,
The meeting was held via Zoom

Members and guests who joined the Rotary Club of South Queensferry's virtual meeting on Thursday 10th September were treated to a thoroughly entertaining talk on Rugby. The speaker was former Scotland player Stevie Scott who earned eleven caps between 2000 and 2004 before injury cut short his playing career. Stevie gained his first cap on the 2000 New Zealand tour. He first played amateur Rugby at Melrose, moving to Gala and then Edinburgh Warriors for ten years. Since he stopped playing, Stevie has built an impressive coaching career, becoming coach at Sale Sharks in the English Premiership. He also coached at Selkirk and was assistant forward coach at Edinburgh Rugby. He then moved to coach in Salt Lake City, Utah, and travelled the USA to play the teams starting the American Major League competition. He is now working with London Scottish who commenced training last week having been off for six months because of covid restrictions. Stevie, who lives in Queensferry, has undergone three operations on his back since his injury. His talk was very informative, offering a glimpse of the inside of  Rugby playing and training and was full of anecdotes from his professional career.

Stevie Scott was introduced by Robert Farrelly. The vote of thanks was proposed by Stuart Ridge.
