Although the Club has not been able to meet in person because of the pandemic. members have like many people learnt to zoom. The weekly zoom meetings organised by Gareth Rees are well attended . They are cheerful occasions at which we can keep in touch with each other socially as well as dealing with Rotary matters.
One of the unexpected benefits of zooming is that our visitors are not limited by geography. Former member Christian Gulzow joined us from Hamburg in Germany where he is Assistant Principal at the International School. Charlie Cogan from the Rotary Club of Northfield in Minnesota has visited the Club a number of times in the past and did so again by zoom in his Welsh jersey.
The Club has continued to make donations to charities and good causes including The Vale Food Bank, Valeways, The Amelia Trust Farm, Shelterbox and The Llanmaes Scrubbers (in support of their splendid efforts making scrubs, masks and PPE)
