Since early spring, the club has been engaged on a project to rejuvenate the garden at the Dove Cottage Hospice , located in the Vale of Belvoir, south of Nottingham.
Volunteers have been involved in cleaning paving, weeding, re-roofing a summer house and reviving tired garden arches. The project has been severely inhibited by Covid restictions, but we have progressed sufficiently that we have now paused untill late summer, when we will resume with a major planting programme.
We have been helped enormously in the project with help from 'Gardens by Joseph'
Volunteers to help with this ambitious project are always welcome. please contact the club at rushcliffrrotary@gmail.com.
In conjunction with the project, we have also made a major donation to the Hospice to enable it to replace its tired mower. We have been able to donate £1500 to them which has enabled them to replace the mower. The improvement in the cut quality and drivability of the machine is enormous.
