Private tour of Ripley Castle

We were honoured to be  joined by Sir Thomas Ingilby the present owner whose family have lived there for over 700 years.

Ripley's history is one of political, military, religious and social turbulence, of plague and persecution, of renaissance, enlightenment and industrial revolution. It is a tale of romance, courage, loyalty and recklessness. There is no final chapter because they still live there and still enjoying the adventure.  We had a very informative and humorous tour and a visit is very highly recommended.
