You may recall from Assembly that our project for 2020/21 is Early Childhood Development which focuses on pre-school education for black children in South Africa. More information is available in a leaflet (here) about this but in summary,we have joined with colleagues in D9370 (Eastern Cape Province) and pledged to raise a total of £9000 which will be matched by District and Rotary Foundation through the Global Grant process to yield a total sum of £27,000.
In order to understand this better we have organised a Zoom meeting on Wednesday 14th October at 6.30 for 7pm when we can hear from project director Lauren Stretch and the President of the Port Elizabeth West club Angela Newton, about how Early Childhood Development works and the benefits it brings. It would be great if all club Presidents and their International Chairs could join this amazing event.
You will need to register in advance for this meeting. Please login to the website and then goto District Members Only Pages and look for "Zoom Registration Pages"
