Rotaract Southampton is a new club in the city looking for passionate individuals who want to be part of something different in their local community and make positive changes to the world around them.  We currently meet online and where possible take part in community projects.  We are part of a larger district of Rotaract clubs in Hampshire, Wiltshire and Dorset, and together we join forces in projects.  The club formed in 2019 after a call from the six Southampton Rotary clubs for young people to have a voice in their community.

Rotaract clubs bring together people ages 18 and older to exchange ideas with leaders in the community, develop leadership and professional skills, and have fun through service.

In communities worldwide, Rotary and Rotaract members work side by side to take action through service. From big cities to rural villages, Rotaract is changing communities like yours.  With over 200,000 Rotaractors in 10,000 clubs across 10 countries, young people around the world are taking action on projects that are important to them.  Rotaractors and Rotarians around the world change lives.  It’s a simple fact about Rotary.

As equal partners of Rotary clubs, Rotaractors have more opportunities than ever before, so there’s no better time to join a Rotaract club near you.

Rotary has seven areas of focus which Rotaract also follows:

·       Peace and conflict prevention/resolution.

·       Disease prevention and treatment.

·       Water and sanitation.

·       Maternal and child health.

·       Basic education and literacy.

·       Economic and community development.

·       Supporting the Environment.

Supporting the Environment is the newest Area of Focus and as a new club, Rotaract Southampton would like to make this one of their main focuses of their projects and activities, as well as working on the other focus areas.

Be a part of Rotaract: Join a movement of exceptional individuals who are using their skills, talents, and energy to help others.

As a Rotaractor you can
• Volunteer locally and internationally
• Build career contacts
• Develop leadership skills
• Network with service-minded people worldwide
• Make new friends and have fun!

Due to COVID-19 our first planned event - a bike ride between Southampton and Winchester - was postponed and once restrictions have been lifted this event will go ahead.  The money raised from this project will go to www.worldbicyclerelief.org which provides
