Peter Martin grew up in Hungerford, attending Hungerford Primary School and John O' Gaunt before moving to St. Barts in Newbury for sixth form. He then attended Merton College, Oxford where he graduated with a first in History and Politics, before studying for a double Masters Degree at Peking University and the London School of Economics. After a brief period studying Mandarin in Taiwan, he moved to China where he started working as a consultant for APCO Worldwide. He moved to New Delhi and then to Washington with APCO before once more returning to Beijing, this time for Bloomberg. He is at the moment briefly in Hungerford awaiting his papers to enable him to resume his career in Washington.
