An annual story writing competition for 7 to 17 year old pupils

The Young Writers Competition is a national & well established ccmpetition promoted by Rotary International in Britain & ireland.

It is a three stage com[etiton and the aim of the competition is to encourage young people to develop their wrting skills and to write with imagination and creativity.

The competiton is open to all schools and college units (including home learning) and youth organisations such as the scouts and guides.

There are three age groups, 7-10, 11-13 and 14 -17.

Local heats are organised by Dingwall Rotary Club. Winners are entered inot the District heat and winners there into the national final.
