Here's just some highlights of what we have done over the years to support the local community


We have done many projects to benefit the local community in previous years - here are some highlights:

Wilfs Walks:

The Club has put on monthly works around Ripponden in honour of one of our members, Wilf Jones, to raise awareness and funds for Cancer Awareness

Overgate Garden Parties

We help out at Overgate Garden Parties and have done many a pig race. 


Classic Bike and Scooter Show

We held a Classic Motorcycle and Scooter show for 5 years 2015-2019 in the canal basin in Sowerby Bridge. Funds raised were donated to a variety of local causes including Yorkshire Air Ambulance

Blood Pressure Testing

We have been all over doing blood pressure testing including at Tesco and at the Halifax Agricultural Show




Christmas Concerts

We have held a number of concerts at Christmas at St Pauls Methodist Church in Sowerby Bridge.

more We are authorised by the Royal British Legion to distribute poppies for Remembrance.

Rucksack appeal

more Please support our homeless rucksack appeal and lets provide every homeless person in Calderdale with a rucksack with the contents to survive rough sleeping in Winter.

Defibrillators

more The Rotary Club of Sowerby Bridge - Makes Sowerby Bridge "A heart safe town" to live and visit.

1st Heptonstall Brownies with their collected shoeboxes.

Fantastic Response to the Shoebox Appeal

more The Rotary Clubs of the Calder Valley join together at Christmas to collect shoeboxes filled by people in the community with items for distribution to the less fortunate.
