Christmas 2020 in Brampton and Longtown

Christmas Past, Present and Future

Rotary Christmas Past

Christmas 2019 began with the Brampton Lights Switch On where we helped with stewarding before the switching on of the Christmas Lights which looked amazing.  We were sorry to miss the Longtown Christmas Street Party last year but continued our support serving food and drink at the Longtown Elderly Persons Christmas Party and Entertainment.  An event that is always such fun.

Then the last events of the year were when we took Santa and his sleigh around the streets of Brampton & Longtown, giving out sweets to the children, collecting donations door to door and talking to the community.  A wonderful event for those taking part as well as the local community.

Christmas 2020 will be different as many events have had to be cancelled.   We are however delighted to be taking Santa and his sleigh around the streets of Brampton & Longtown.

  • He will unfortunately not be stopping to say hello and give out sweets.
  • The elves will not be collecting door to door.
  • But ... please listen out for the music and do cheer us on from a safe distance

You can still donate online here Donate Santa Sleigh or by using the QR Code  Donate QR Code

Santa will be in Longtown on Sunday 13 December, and in Brampton on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December 2020.

Details about further restrictions and advice will be published here and on our Brampton & Longtown Facebook Page nearer the time.  Last minute changes on the day will be published on facebook only.

Christmas 2021 will, we hope, be different.  Brampton Christmas Lights Switch On will be a great success followed by Longtown Christmas Street Party - bigger and better.  We will get to say hello to all the regulars and new attendees at the Longtown Elderly Persons Christmas Party.  Then gazing into Santa's crystal ball we see the reindeer taking Santa and his sleigh around the streets of Brampton & Longtown saying hello to the young and young at heart, giving out sweets.  Our Elves will be knocking on your door to say hello and collecting for our good causes.
