An award for Jan Long

As Jan is moving the Club presented her with a Paul Harris Sapphire award in recognition of all her service to Rotary and the local community

Following the laying of the poppy wreath at the Ledbury War Memorial by President Bernie, he presented Jan Long with a Sapphire Paul Harris Award. She has done so much for the Club and the local Community in her 18 years as a member, as well as helping the District PR and participating in End Polio Immunisation days.

She is due to move away soon but hopes to stay in touch with all her Ledbury friends. Jan's  response to he award was to say

"I’m honoured and delighted in equal measure to receive this totally unexpected award and reward from my friends in Rotary."

Following Town Council guidelines during this lockdown there was no Sunday parade or service. We were asked just to lay the wreath at a time of our choosing around the date.  That is why it was closed off and our wreath was on it's own before the official ones were laid on Sunday without ceremony
