Christmas Street Collection 2020

We love to bring Santa and his musical house to visit you in December, but sadly this year it is not possible. We will miss you - you will miss us - and local charities will miss your generosity but please read on.......

After months of soul searching and discussion the Rotarians of Carshalton Park have decided to cancel all our plans for physical Christmas collections. As you can imagine this decision was not taken lightly but on the advice of the Police and Rotary International Great Britain and Ireland.

Walking with Santa and his musical house around the roads of Carshalton and Wallington is the highlight of our year. Every evening for three weeks from early December, Santa brings joy to adults and children alike but their smiles and dancing will be sorely missed this year.

Of course the donations we usually collect to support Local Charities will also be missed. These small charities have had a miserable time during this year of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Here are some of the charities whose members helped us with the 2019 Christmas Collection and which we supported with donations : -

  • Sutton Mencap
  • Sutton Night Watch
  • Sutton Women's Centre
  • Sutton Eagles Special Needs Football Club
  • Sutton Branch of National Autistic Society
  • London Borough of Sutton Mayor's Charity Appeal
  • Diamond Riding Centre
  • Gary Mason Trust
  • Jigsaw 4 U
  • Multiple-Sclerosis Therapy Centre
  • Oaks Way Centre
  • Sutton Community Transport
  • Sutton St John Ambulance
  • Sutton Sea Cadets
  • Scouts 1st Wallington
  • Carshalton Beeches Yulefest

Our Christmas Collection is dedicated to Local Charities. Please help them by making a donation using either of these two methods:
