Trips Out

For the past 7 years the Club has sponsored a day trip to Weston-super-Mare for the support groups in Shipston and other people who wouldn't have otherwise have been able to get to the coast.

Monday 19th June 2023 saw the first Shipston Rotary Trip to Weston Super Mare since before Covid.  Members of the Support Groups in Shipston gathered on a bright and sunny morning outside the George Townhouse, in anticipation of a long awaited trip to the seaside,before boarding a Johnsons(of Henley) luxury coach for the journey. The weather was absolutely glorious with wall to wall sunshine throughout.
It was uplifting to walk along the sea front in the sunshine taking in the sea air, with nothing more onerous, than having to decide where to have fish and chips for lunch and whether or not we could squeeze a cream tea in, as well as an ice cream, before heading back to the coach.
On arrival back in Shipston everyone on board clapped and cheered Shipston Rotary for Sponsoring the trip - saying what a wonderful day it had been and how it had lifted their spirits.
