How do we raise our funds to spend in the community and further afield?
Without funds the club cannot function and although individual committees raise a lot of their own funding throughout the year, our fundraising committee is charged with organising larger scale events, such as raising money to help restore the Linden Arches for the enjoyment of the community. A Taste of Leamington
This fine dining foodie evening around Leamington’s independent restaurants has been running for 4 years but has been put on hold in 2020/21 due to COVID. Our 2019 event raised over £2,700 for Parkinson's UK and local Rotary charities.
The Elephant Walk
We are very happy to be working with Leamington 41 Club on this initiative. More details to follow as we are in the early stages of developing this for the town.
These events are posted on the featured pages of our website prior to the event
Our regular events include:
It all takes time and effort which we collectively enjoy! We are always looking for new ideas, especially those that have not been tried before
One of our main club fundraising projects is our eBay account where the sum raised from the items donated to the Rotary Club of Royal Leamington Spa has topped over £20,000 in the 8 years since it started
Find how it works from the 'What we Do' list on the home page if you have anything you would like to donate for our club to sell, or if you, your family and friends are avid ebayers, perhaps you would consider a donation to our club. Just click the Charity giving link when you list an item, type in Rotary Club of Royal Leamington Spa and then select a figure from 5% upwards.
Where do our funds go?
The proceeds from our fundraising efforts go to a number of charities locally, nationally and internationally, and also pay for our Community support activities. Below is a list of the charities we have helped in the Rotary year July 2020 to June 2021 besides the £13,400 raised by the tree of light project which goes directly to the Myton Hospices. A total of £25,049
