Inner Wheel raise over £2000 for Crossroads Young carers from their coffee morning. Well done ladies a fantastic effort.
President Julia Vanderpump and the Inner Wheel Club of Rushen and Western Mann would like to thank all those who supported our coffee morning at Port Erin Methodist Church Hall. Special thanks to the Arbory School choir, thirty pupils from Arbory School came with their teachers, Mrs Dilys Sowry, Mrs Roisin Carr and Mrs Young to start the festive season and entertain us with Christmas songs, they lifted spirits and put a smile on everyone’s face.
Despite the inclement weather supporters came and enjoyed the music, coffee and homemade mince pies and shortbread. Thanks to their generosity the raffle and stalls did a roaring trade and we managed to raise over £2000 which will be given to Crossroads Young Carers to help young people on our island.
