Helping youngsters develop confidence and self-esteem
The Rotakids club, established in Ettington in 2013, continues to flourish and is nurtured by Shipston Rotary members. Each year the combined year 6 class with some year 5s form a new Rotakids Club and elect three new officers (president, secretary and treasurer). The children then decide which charity they wish to support and discuss how they will raise funds. This year the group raised £300 for Cancer UK.
RotaKids will grow their confidence and self-esteem at a key stage. RotaKids help children to develop the strength, knowledge, skills, enthusiasm and determination to make their world a better place.
Charity fund raising efforts have been very impressive, and the ability to organise themselves in order to launch a project is really remarkable.
