200 Shoeboxes filled for the Rotary Shoebox Scheme

Shoeboxes 2020

The Rotary Club of East Sutherland with the help of the Rotakids of Brora, Helmsdale and Dornoch have managed to fill a bumper number of Shoeboxes with toys, toiletries and treats for Christmas for the children in the refugee camps around Kiev and the Eastern European countries.

Last Saturday the shoeboxes began their journey to Kiev when Rotarians Claudia Macgregor and William Sutherland packed his car and filled his trailer with boxes and delivered them to Inverness.

The Rotary Shoebox Scheme has been operating for over 25 years and have delivered over one million boxes. We hope our shoeboxes will provide a little comfort and happiness at Christmas thanks to the generous people of Sutherland.
