Update on the 2020/21 competitions

KINVER ROTARY CLUB - SCHOOL COMPETITIONS 2020/2021- 22.12.2020

With a closing date of 15th December, I am pleased to say that despite all the trials and tribulations of the pandemic and its constraints on both education and other social societies, we have still received a good number of entries for the rotary photography, artist and writing competitions. With themes of “My happiest Day” and “Wild Nature” it will be interesting to see whether the effects of COVID-19 are reflected in the submissions! Entries will be judged at club level early in 2021 and the winning entries submitted for the District competition. Thanks to all those that entered and we will feedback results to the school organisers in due course.

With regard to the annual Youth Debating Competition, we are currently agreeing its format and how schools can participate in the likelihood that it will be run on a “virtual basis” rather than face to face in order to protect all participants. More information is expected early 2021.

Thanks again to pupils and teachers for working with Kinver Rotary during 2020.
