Lend With Care

The Club has now been working with the charity Lend With Care to provide small loans for businesses in developing countries for over a year. As the loans are repaid the money is "recycled" out to other small businesses to provide some further capital.

The examples below are just a small selection of the businesses that the Club has helped through the Lend With Care scheme.

1. Yajaira Riofrio runs a market stall selling fruit. She is 29 years old and lives on the outskirts of Loja in southern Ecuador. Her husband works as a builder and they have two children. Her business has suffered from the effects of the pandemic and she needed some more working capital to assist in its recovery.

2. Jean Claude Munyaneza is a potato farmer and a member of a voluntary savings and loan group in Rwanda. Lending capital to the group enables it to help members like Jean Claude to improve their businesses and so better provide for their families. Jean Claude lives with his wife and three children.

3. Elisee Nzabananabandi is also Rwandan. He has a wholesale grocery business in Ngororero City. He is 38 and married with one child. He already employs 4 people and sees an opportunity now for further epansion and the loan will help provide the capital he needs to do so.
