Have you ever wondered how new medicines are discovered? Have you ever
heard of “Phase 2 clinical trials” and wondered what that referred to?
Donal Gorman, PhD will be presenting on “An introduction to clinical trials”, based on his experiences working in the pharmaceutical industry for the past 7 years. He will provide an overview of the discovery and development stages of a new drug, ultimately explaining why it takes around 10 years and up to £2 billion to bring a new medicine to patients.
During this difficult time we are meeting online twice per month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday's at 7pm via Zoom.
Visiting Rotarians and guests are always welcome but please contact us beforehand, using the 'Contact' option below, so we know to expect you and don't leave you in the Waiting Room.
Members will be advised of the connection details nearer the time
