International Connections
We connect with Rotarians and support communities across the world.
We are currently fundraising to send monies to Rotarians working in supportive countries bordering Ukraine, working with refugees and those suffering as a result of the war there. We are also working with Shelterbox to support people in Turkey and Syria as a result of the earthquakes there.
Because they are working on the ground they know the needs and need our continuing support. 100% of all the money we raise for this goes to those clubs for the cause. Donations can be made to our charity Lloyds account: Acc name: South West Peninsula Rotary E-Club Sort code: 30-91-92 Acc Nr: 74974160. Please reference your donations with 'Ukraine' or 'Earthquake'
We are also working to access grant funding to support Ukrainian families living locally.
We have attended meetings online hosted by Rotarians in India and including members from across the globe, helped train midwives in Sierra Leone, lend monies to entrepreneurs in third world countries through the charity Lend With Care and welcomed speakers from the other side of the world!
Our club maximises contact with and support for people and other Rotarians across the world!

We ran Wrap Up in Devon and collected good second hand coats that, through working with local partners, went directly to people locally, who struggle to keep warm during the winter months. We were thrilled with the brilliant response!

Supporting the Environment is a Rotary International Area of Focus. We are supporting the environment strategically and practically. Members have helped with strategic planning, tree planting, gardening and litter picking.

We purchase, plant and sell purple crocus corms to help raise funds for End Polio Now. We also buy End Polio Christmas Cards and support the cause in other ways.

We often help organisers of shows by volunteering to help on gates, run errands and that type of thing. Shows we’ve helped at include the North Devon Show, Devon County Show, South Molton Vintage Rally and the Honiton Show.
