Christmas Red Sacks

For Christmas 2020, Staines Rotary donated to the Salvation Army a batch of red sacks made of an attractive thick red fabric.

The Salvation Army were grateful for the bags and used the bags to hold their Christmas gifts to needy folk. Each bag carried a badge with the Rotary logo.

The bags gave a pleasant Christmassy feel to the gifts and added to the pleasure of the grateful folk receiving them. In previous years, the gifts had been given out in black bin liners!

The bags proved such a success that the club aims to repeat the project for Christmas 2021 and will welcome any volunteers who would like to help out with it.

The bags are shown here at the Salvation Army Citadel prior to distribution.
