The Rotary Young Chef Competition is a well-established and successful local and national competition organsied by the Rotary Clubs of Coventry.
It is usually a four-stage national competition to support and encourage development of cookery skills. The competition starts at a local club level with Rotary Clubs getting together with local schools. From the schools putting forward a winner, a heat will then be between other schools in the area and then the winner will compete in a District heat and the winner from the district will go forward to the national final.
This competition aims to encourage young people to:
• Learn how to cook a healthy meal
• Develop food presentation skills
• Consider food hygiene issues
