Park Run joins with Rotary

Park Run participants join Rotarians at Clitheroe Health Centre

There was a takeover at Clitheroe Health Centre on Saturday as volunteers from

parkrun UK

Clitheroe Castle Park Run

donned their hi-vis vests for the first time in a year to become marshalls for the Ribblesdale Hub Covid19 Vaccination Clinic, taking place at the same time as parkrun would normally happen - 9am on a Saturday morning.

The volunteers were getting back into practice for the reopening of Junior parkrun after the 11th April and parkrun on the 5th June (tentative dates). They walked, jogged and ran around to make sure the clinic operated as smoothly as ever. President Jenni got to be "Run Director" and made sure the parkrun tourists were made to feel most welcome, delivering an appropriately themed "First Timers Briefing" to marshalls prior to the start of the "run"! Vaccinators and staff from
The Castle Medical Group
and
Pendleside Medical Practice
got into the running mood, wearing parkrun t-shirts too.
